The Sharon Springs Parade of Lights – sure to be a fun event for the entire family that brings holiday cheer to Sharon Springs and the surrounding community. Starting at 6 PM – before the parade, there will be a tree lighting in the front yard of the school, laying of the memorial wreath by the American Legion and entertainment by the Sharon Springs Central School choir. The parade will start at the Sharon Springs Central School and end at the Sharon Springs Fire Station. Hot chocolate and cookies will be served and children can meet Santa Claus and receive gift bags provided by the Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
Parade entry is FREE! Any type of lighted moving entry can be considered, ranging from lighted tractors, horse-drawn wagons or buggies, horseback riders, antique cars, motorized riding groups, business floats, musical entries, or walkers dressed in their holiday best with lanterns.
The parade will begin at the Sharon Springs Central School parking lot on Route 20 and end at the Sharon Springs Fire House on Beechwood Road. The parade will proceed up Route 20 to Main Street, turn left on Main to Park Avenue, left on Park Avenue to Beechwood Road, then right to the Sharon Springs Fire House.
